Weekly Reading Roundup – March 3, 2014

Weekly Reading RoundUp March 3, 2014

I’ve been a bad Blogger. Only one post last week and it was my weekly reading roundup. Not that I didn’t prepare new content – but I just didn’t finalize it. Writing isn’t a fluid process for me…there are a lot of starts and stops. I frequently have to put a piece aside and pick it up at a later time because I get stuck or I know the piece isn’t flowing nicely, but I can’t resolve the issue because I’m too close to it. Anyway, my process is:  write, rest, re-write, review and release. I did some writing this past week – but that’s about as far as I got.  Expect more this week!

I did do some reading however and that’s the point of these posts. Here are some interesting nuggets I mined from the inter-webz this past week. Enjoy!

Thanks for the shout out Jack! I know what you mean. I write my articles like a day in advance. I have to feel the topic and then I can write it. If I get stuck, I go do something else.

Regardless of how formal or right brained the
topic, writing is a creative activity and requires just the right frame of
mind. I find it very challenging sometimes to balance that need with the very
limiting nature of my schedule. Frequently I find that when I do have time to
write…I’m not feeling particularly creative or insightful. I think this
comment requires a #BloggerProblems. :) It’s only been 7 weeks since I started the site so maybe I just haven’t hit my rhythm yet.

    Thanx for the mention Jack!

I wasn’t aware of the other two REIT articles, I will have to go check them out. :)

I look forward to your feedback, Mr. Ninja.

It was funny – after reading your article I noticed a flurry of REIT articles and posts. I’m always on the lookout for a good REIT story!

  • SavvyJames

I appreciate the mention, Jack. I look forward to having you “sit down” for a SavvyInterview.

Not a problem. I am excited to do the SavvyInterview – it’s going to be fun!
